Rashmi is a self-taught artist; she has adopted painting as a way of life. She has been part of various workshops in Painting, Art History, and Print Making with national and international artists. She has also served as an art teacher at Mirambika School – Aurobindo Ashram, New Delhi, (1996 to 1998) where she got exposed to a philosophy of life that allowed her complete space to express creativity. It is through these interactions, and in varying surroundings that her skills as an artist have evolved. Her way of art practice is more about being with the ‘Act of Painting’ and thus reinventing herself with each body of her work. She paints from the inside out, venturing between the actual and virtual, losing herself in colours, memories, and dreams, and in the process wants to explore and discover an unfettered expression guided by the tenants of intuition and experimentation.
Each of her paintings is soaked with a deep experience, a new awareness, and an undiscovered truth. She has exhibited internationally and been part of various art camps and ventures.
